I love this post/article, sir. I love both modern and ancient martial arts, but I am drawn to the older, more ancient ones. Seeing how things have change, or have not changed, and why, is important to me. Thank you, sir.

I have seen quite a few displays of mumu in Korean historical dramas- so full of grace and discipline. One could tell that this skill doesn’t just happen overnight.

Also, kdramas like Love under the moonlight, Goblin, The age of rebellion (aka The age of blood), and The alchemy of souls - to name but a few - are perfect examples of Korean swordmanship in action.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. It’s wonderful to see how martial arts resonate with each of us in unique ways, yet all your responses are deeply connected. Perhaps the martial arts we practice, enjoy, or witness today are the result of countless layers accumulated through the human journey. Maybe now is the time to revisit the ancient, classical roots of martial arts—to draw inspiration from them once again.
